Sexy Halloween Costumes*

Some of my friends joke about the fact that women Halloween costumes generally follow "sexy" theme.  Last year a lovely lady I know dressed as a "sexy" banana.  The phenomena was even reported on a couple of years ago in a hilarious article my the Mercury newspaper.
Now I thought this was a recent construct of the "sexy" costume, however, I came upon this image while Googling vintage Halloween costumes that is titled:  1947 Halloween Costume Contest...so I guess women have been trying to be "sexy" "scary" for a long time now.  It shouldn't surprise me.
